All Saints is part of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA) and the worldwide Anglican Communion, through CANA's connection with the Anglican Church of Nigeria. Descended from the first century Christian Faith established in England, we are as ancient as any Christian church in the world and have retained much of the belief and worship practice inherited from those first Christians centuries ago.
The Anglican Church is catholic, adhering to what was "always and everywhere taught" by early Christians, as well as reformed (protestant), with beliefs based completely in Scripture and rooted firmly in the English Reformation and custom. However, our parish outlook is Celtic - creating a welcoming, loving, family atmosphere that is very open to newcomers.
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God - inerrant and our only source for doctrine and practice. We also believe in the ancient influence and indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit as our baptism, teacher, counselor, comforter, and empowerment to read and inwardly digest that Word, to the effect of lives changed by His influence. As a result, we take our Lord's command to repent and be baptized seriously, along with His instruction to take the Gospel to the World as our mission, so we are also evangelical - carrying the Good News to those around us by lives lived in the power of the Spirit, according to Scripture and our ancient custom and reason, in three balanced streams of catholic, evangelical, and the Holy Spirit. It lends a relevance to our teaching that is completely solid and undeniably practical for 21st century life.
Our worship practice is completely orthodox (meaning "right praise"), in that our traditional and classically liturgical services are entirely found in the 1928 Book of Common Prayer - a document that traces its earliest beginnings through the English Reformation all the way back to some original forms founded by the Bishop of Jerusalem in the first century Church. We also offer contemporary worship in some settings, but always retain an element of the ancient practice. We invoke the presence and influence of the Holy Spirit in all our services - formal or contemporary. He brings life and power to each.
We think this blend of rock-solid Scriptural belief, pragmatic teaching, loving atmosphere, and ancient practice makes us the ideal parish for those who want a sense of the ancient and mysterious, while reaching the lost and least through the life-changing power of the Spirit, the Gospel, and the Sacraments. Join us in the Lord's Presence!
