Prayer

Because the Bible tells us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17, KJV), All Saints offers several prayer ministries:

Prayer Requests: If you need prayer, submit a prayer request; it will be distributed to All Saints prayer intercessors for immediate prayer.

Prayer List: The parish maintains a list of people needing prayer and lifts these names to the Lord at worship services. The list is available to parishioners in the Members section of the Web site and is mailed to the Prayer Chain regularly. Parishioners can add names to the list in the narthex before worship services. Download the prayer list in the Members area or add a name to the list.

Prayer Chain: Parishioners can sign up here for an e-mail prayer chain. Prayer requests submitted online, by e-mail, or phone are sent to the Prayer Chain right away for immediate prayer for specific needs. A list of parishioners is sent out each week for those who wish to pray for all the families of the parish each quarter. Each day, the prayer focus from the 30-Day Prayer Cycle is posted.

30-Day Prayer Cycle: A guide describing a 30-day prayer cycle can be downloaded here. Father Chip says, “Our best and first priority needs to be spending time with our Lord. I would ask you to make intercession on the days indicated. Just a few minutes of prayer a day will do wonders spiritually. If you are unsure how to pray for this, you may wish to consider saying the Morning or Evening Office or the Litany with the intention of what the daily prayer focus is according to the cycle.”

If you will commit to pray with us, please download the 30-Day Prayer Cycle and complete the form below. You will know that the form was processed when an acknowledgement appears in place of the form.

“Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” (Ephesians 6:18, NIV

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.” 1 Timothy 2:1 (NIV)

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 6:16 (NIV)
