Youth
The Youth Group meets between the Sunday worship services at 10:15 - 10:50 AM under the leadership of Anita Forbes, youth@allsaintsanglican.net. Fr. Tony Hartman assists with teaching the young people.
During Lent, the youth have studied The Seven Deadly Sins, Temptation, The Armour of God, and, last but not least……Hope and Salvation.
The youth are actively involved in the life of the parish. Look around some Sunday morning and you might see Caitlyn Pleake performing Altar Guild duties between services or working with the younger Sunday School children; you might see Richard Dolgner serving as an acolyte and hear Jennifer Dolgner singing beautifully in the choir. You might also see Hanna and Becka Hartman helping out in the nursery, and your day will always be brightened with Nkechi Okolo’s beautiful smile and gentle spirit. How blessed we are at All Saints Church to have such an awesome group of young adults.
Recently, the youth participated in making palm crosses for Palm Sunday and helped serve the St. Patrick’s Dinner.
As their first outreach project for this year the youth have “adopted” a soldier currently in Iraq, who is the brother of a new friend of the parish. They will be sending him encouraging letters and baked goods and lifting him up in prayer regularly.
As our young people mature physically, the youth program at All Saints is preparing the youth
for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. ~Ephesians 4:12-15 (NIV)
