Francis Elborne

Francis ElborneFrancis Elborne is All Saints’ choirmaster, organist, and music director.

Francis has more than 40 years of experience in church music and in choral direction of both adults and children.

Before coming to All Saints in 2007, he was the principal organist at St. Virgilius Catholic Church, Morris Plains, NJ. He has also been the organist and choirmaster for several churches in San Antonio, including Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, and St. Francis Episcopal Church. He served as the Director of Music at the Atonement Academy where he was responsible for music at daily Mass with the school choir in English and Latin. He also gave private piano lessons.

From 1986 to 1988, Francis was the Resident Musical Director of the San Pedro Playhouse in San Antonio. In this position, he was responsible for the musical direction of five full-scale Broadway musicals per year.

Originally from England, Francis also has extensive experience in several churches and schools in that country. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree from St. David’s University  College, Lampeter, Wales. He was the winner of an organ scholarship and was responsible for accompanying the Eucharist and services in the College chapel in English and in Welsh.

He and his wife, Vivienne, also teach  private music lessons.
